I'm the friend that will find any excuse to get fly and 2020 was torture for my wardrobe. I never stopped buying clothing but had nowhere to wear anything. Now, I did manage to find a few outings to show off my looks, but it still wasn't the same. I knew New Year's Eve would be the perfect time to pull something out and get fixed up no matter what my plans ended up being.
I shopped around for a few days looking for a dressy yet comfortable look. The look needed to make a statement, but I didn't want to be overly dressed for the location. A few friends and I rented out a space for the weekend for some fun and although we weren't going to a big party, the outfit needed to hit.
I honestly couldn't decide on the perfect pieces and my shipping window was closing. I ended up buying everything in my cart so I would have options and not have to stress when the time came.
All the items arrived and once I laid eyes on this deep v, black blazer with stones hanging off the back, I fell in love. The funny thing is, I had no bottoms to complete the look. Just a blazer, a matching bag and shoes. Luckily, I had the perfect black leggings, that I'd never worn, tucked away in my closet to bring it all together. I kept my accessories simple with a few rings and my favorite chains because you always need some ice.
The entire night with friends was so magical and what made it even better was how great I felt in my clothes. The right look will make any occasion better. Take it from Nova!
