WE KNOW WHO RUNS THE WORLD!

Where would the world be without us? We quite literally create life. During the month of March, the world is charged with recognizing and celebrating all women for the vital roles we play. I will not let this month go by without doing my part. Aside from the amazing women in my personal life that have paved ways I didn't know existed; I would like to shout out the group of strangers who quickly became "slay friends" during a women's month shoot recently.

I received a message online asking to participate in a photoshoot to highlight women of various backgrounds. I couldn’t say no. I was honored that someone thought of me and wanted me to be a part of something so positive.

We met downtown Detroit at the Shinola Hotel and got acquainted with each other and the photographers. There were two locations and as someone who loves a good background for shooting, it was great to discover new places to create art. Between the hotel, shots walking across Woodward Ave, and shooting at WeWork, we turned heads everywhere we went.

There was no theme and no rules besides show up and show out. That was the beauty of it, no one looked the same and we got to share our unique differences. The day was full of introductions, laughs, compliments, and contact exchanges with future plans in mind. This shoot checked every box of women empowerment. We brought ourselves and were accepted and encouraged to continue with our visions.

These images are just moments in time but what you are witnessing is everything we have attempted, failed, and achieved pulled together to let you know although we are constantly evolving and learning, we’re going to make this journey look great. Stay fly and stay dangerous ladies, we run this world and don’t let them forget it!
