The Infinity Look from Da Vinci

I have a love for the Renaissance architecture/ Michelangelo styles that can be found in fashion these days. I can't say what exactly draws me to the style but it just does something for me and I seem to always want to add the pieces to my closet. I don't think I was looking for anything in particular when I ended up on Dollskill.com. This is my go-to site for pieces I consider "out of the box"! It's my version of Hot Topic or Spencers. One day on the site I found a collection called Da Vinci's Demons, it embodied the renaissance theme completely. At first glance, I knew I needed the pieces from this collection. There was a top, skirt, pants, jackets, and thigh-high boots all made out of the same fabric! I was a mission to grab all items!

As you might know, when I went to fill up my shopping cart, many things weren't in my size or worse, sold out! I was devastated but wasn't discouraged. I thought that I should at least get the pieces that were available and leave my email to be notified when the others restocked. I started off with the skirt, jacket, and thigh-high boots. I should add that these pieces cost a good amount individually and it was pricey to get multiple at once. The good thing about Dolls Kill and many others is that they offer AfterPay. You can split your total into 4 payments to make your outfits work with your budget. I'm for sure a fan.

For the longest, I was stuck with just the pieces that I originally purchased. They were taunting me and I would check the store's website often with my fingers crossed. When I tell you the day I finally looked on the site and found the top and pants had restocked I lost it, I'm not exaggerating. I ran through my house when the greatest celebratory dance of all time. I truly felt like I had collected all of the infinity stones. I knew I was going to kill the game with this look!

It was a great day when my last pieces arrived and I was finally able to try on the completed look. The funniest part of this story, as I said in the beginning, is that I wasn't looking for anything when I found this outfit and had nowhere to go. I had gone through all of this stress to collect a look that would just hang in my closet. To this day I have not worn the outfit anywhere. I did, however, use it in a photoshoot I took for my 25th birthday. It definitely made a statement and will come in handy one day! Since I have so many versions of this look I will be able to mix and match the individual pieces and create many more styles.

This isn't the first time I have found myself wanting something so bad with no real intension behind the items once I got them. I guess I would rather have them in my closet waiting for their moment, instead of a moment arriving and not having the perfect outfit.
